Huon Hooke. The Real Review.
Medium-straw colour with a hint of rose-gold. The bouquet is very yeasty, toasty/bready and mellow: a classic Champagne bouquet. It's soft and round on the palate, with mild acidity and higher dosage combining to give a lovely silky softness. It's not overtly sweet but the balance is well-judged for the NV market. It lacks the spine of the top Collet wines but is a generous mouthful of Champagne.
