It's a very simple sparkling wine that delivers easy pleasure. Straightforward in its green apple, quince and gingery scents and flavours with touches of sweet stone fruit and faint toastiness. Quite soft in texture, a bit broad too, bubbles a touch lazy, freshness not all the way there, but all up, a neat and tidy, elementary sparkling wine of reasonable drinkability.
Here is a slightly sassy sparkling wine from the Adelaide Hills that delivers with real style. It’s largely creamy chardonnay with a little meatier pinot providing a nice complementary flavour. The palate is lively with a zingy lemony citrus tang sitting neatly with the slightly chalky brioche flavours. Nice current drinking wine.

Ray Jordan
